The Greek island of Kefalonia is spectacular. It's where Captain Corelli's mandolin was filmed. It's relatively unspoiled too. Lots of small restaurants and tavernas. We loved it.

There is talk on FB that a new secret rating system for the R & F is to be introduced so that DF'ing is no longer required. A's and B's are fine, B's and C's proceed with caution, D's marked and so on.
I think I'm a Z.

LIVE WEB CAM
by The Searcher inan excellent live webcam in the highlands of scotland, monitoring a breeding pair of ospreys - beautiful birds of prey!.

Cool! We've had the occasional osprey turn up at the Somerset levels but none have bred yet. I think it's just a stopping off place for those ospreys that migrate.

the green mile?
by sparrowdown injust wondering.. do you agree/disagree with capital punishment?.
are there any circumstances that would justify it?.
or is taking any human life unacceptable, regardless of the crime?.

I'm anti capital punishment.
Not because of sympathy for the condemned. I just believe that if you give a government the power to kill it's own citizens then you end up with a draconian penal system.

Sudan woman faces death for apostasy
by Da.Furious insource: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-27424064.
a sudanese court has sentenced a woman to hang for apostasy after she left islam and married a christian man.. "we gave you three days to recant but you insist on not returning to islam.
i sentence you to be hanged to death," the judge told the woman, afp reports.. western embassies and rights groups had urged sudan to respect the right of the pregnant woman to choose her religion.. local media report the sentence would not be carried out for two years after she has given birth.. meriam yehya ibrahim ishagsudan has a majority muslim population, which is governed by islamic law.. the judge also sentenced her to 100 lashes after convicting her of adultery - because her marriage to a christian man was not valid under islamic law.. earlier in the hearing, an islamic cleric spoke with her in a caged dock for about 30 minutes, afp reports.. then she calmly told the judge: "i am a christian and i never committed apostasy.".

An 11/15/1952 WT suggested that only the law of the land stopped JW's from killing apostates.
The law of the land and God’s law through Christ forbid us to kill apostates, even though they be members of our own flesh-and-blood family relationship.

WT president Judge Rutherford actually banned singing kingdom songs:
The Watchtower, May 1, 1938, p 139, "At all study meetings...the one presiding at the study might well, as a prelude to the meeting, briefly state God’s purpose which is now being performed... two minutes might well be devoted to such at the beginning of all meetings for study [by] the one presiding... A few words like the above pronounced at the beginning of the study would be far more beneficial than to occupy the same time in singing songs, which often express much that is out of harmony with the truth"

The GB are really going out on a limb with this DF decision
by Quarterback inthis is how a do explained the family business policy re relatives of df/da members.. he said that the expression, "necessary family business," is really not a scriptural term.
it is nowhere found in the bible.
but, out of the kindness of the gb's hearts, they have gone beyond what is written and allowed association among families for necessary business.

I'd say seeing your mum & dad on a regular social and family basis was very neccessary business!

LOL. I recall years ago KM song entitled "Happy is the man who keeps awake". It was actually the tune to the Maine Stein song and was one of the few melodies that actually made you feel like joining in.
Years later, the Two Ronnies brought out their own version of the Stein song and because of it's obvious double entendres caused great offence to the oldies who recalled the old KM song.

Why was the Book of Enoch omitted from the Bible..
by jam inthe book of enoch taught women magic, the art of war.
and cosmetic..they felt this book was too far out in left field.. the show "bible secrets revealed".. ok, magic vs having a monster baby by a angel.. so happy they omitted that book, otherwise women would.
be leaders of the militaries.

Would the Nephilim be able to breed? If they were the product of angels and women then they'd be sterile.

Had an argument with my wife about tinkerbell :(
by BU2B inone of my co workers mother made my 4 year old a blanket with the disney character tinkerbell on it.
as soon as i got it i knew trouble lay ahead.
i wanted to reason with her before my daughter saw it so as not to cause a disruption, but it didn't work out that way.

Sisters are not meant to be Tinkerbelles.
They're supposed to be Wendys.
